Woody Is Such A Wuss

After a night of not the best sleep in the world at Maswik Lodge,7 we were greeted by the sunshine.  Our leaving was a bit delayed by the fact that our car doors were frozen shut.  Eventually we were able to get in but had to leave the car running forever to clear the windows of ice.

Once we got moving, we went to Maswik Lodge cafeteria for some breakfast.33  Decent food, great prices:)  And then we set off to visit some of the many viewpoints at the Grand Canyon.   Of course we took advantage of the park shuttles that run on a regular basis.

43Personally, I really appreciated the fact that Vol Fan regularly gave me a lift. We did a LOT of walking.

After getting our fill of the beautiful vistas, we set off toward Las Vegas.

54On our way there, we went by this place.   Of course, Woody could not resist getting a picture.  She can be such a goofball sometimes.

68We made it to the Hoover Dam just as the sun was starting to set.  It is pretty cool.

As we arrived in Las Vegas, we went straight to the restaurant that Vol Fan had requested.  Something along the line of “You can’t go to Vegas and not eat at a buffet”.  So we went to Main Street Station, which is a hotel and casino near downtown.  The buffet was really good and was really cheap!

After eating WAY too much, we went to our hotel.  Thank you, Venetian, for our free rooms!  Yes, I said free!!  Vol Fan and Harley Rider left the others in our party (including me!!) in the hotel room and went out for a night of gambling and drinking.  Sometimes Woody is such a wuss….

  2. Well, I hope that Vol Fan at least made some money at the tables with you, even though he left his lucky little friend behind...
